Navantia UK is investing in defence and energy capability across our sites. Programmes on this scale, including the £1.6 billion Fleet Solid Support programme for the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, depend on a strong UK supply chain.

 

We take a local-first approach, awarding contracts to UK businesses wherever we can. We want long-term partners who will grow with us, from major infrastructure firms to specialist SMEs.

 

We work with suppliers across a wide range of disciplines, including steel and fabrication materials, plant and equipment hire, welding and lifting equipment, marine components, logistics, site services, and engineering and design consultancy.

 

A good example is our work with Cleary Contracting, a second-generation Northern Irish business delivering a £10m contract at Harland & Wolff. The project involves 50 staff on site and represents nearly 20% of Cleary’s annual turnover, showing the kind of long-term partnership we want to build with suppliers across the UK.
